Our Mission

Our Mission: Who We Are & What We Do

Our Purpose: The Church exists for the sole purpose of making Disciples.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Our Mission: “To live and love like Jesus and help others to do the same”

Stated in other terms: The goal of our church is to influence people to grow in Christlikeness. We believe God desires transformation in heart and mind. In order to achieve the purpose of making disciples, we need to have a strategy.

Our Strategy: Gather/Connect/Serve
  • Gather: we provide a Sunday worship experience which allows the individual to embrace the heart of Jesus through song, prayer and the preaching of God’s word.

  • Connect: we provide Life Groups for people to connect with one another through biblical learning, community and doing life together.

  • Serve:  We provide opportunities for people to serve the Lord on and off campus. We want people to engage with others and be the hands of Jesus to our immediate context.

Our Vision: “Reaching the World from Waldorf’ by making a local impact that touches the world!

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Our Core Values

WE believe core values are the biblical foundational principles of the ministry that must be implemented with consistency and passion. These SEVEN core values are the motivating force of the ministry.

Transforming Power of Scripture

We are sincere in our effort to preach and teach the Word of God with authority, accuracy, and authenticity in order that seekers may be saved, and Christians may cultivate a deeper relationship with God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17).

Intentionality of Prayer

We demonstrate dependency on God through our personal and corporate prayer so that in the commencement, preparation and implementation of all ministries and activities of our church (1 Thess. 5:16-18)

Authentic God-Centered Worship in Christ

We long to adore God’s highest worth in our personal walk with Him and create a corporate atmosphere of authentic worship for believers (Rom. 12:1-2).

A Culture of Service

We are called and obligated by God to live out godly character, conduct and commitment. A servant lives under the leading and direction of the Master.  Jesus was sent by the Father as a servant to die on the cross for sin (Mark 10:45; 1 Timothy 3; Titus 1; Hebrews 5:8)

Winsome Outreach (1 Cor. 9:19-23)

We will endeavor to create ministry conducive to our cultural setting with the intention to reach the lost for the cause of Christ (1 Cor. 9:19-23).

Ministry Excellence (Col. 3:23-24)

We will passionately pursue ministry with all our hearts as a true work for the Lord Jesus Christ (Col. 3:23-24).

Empowering Faith in Family

We are committed to family relationships. We will attempt to create a spiritual environment that promotes, strengthens and edifies the family structure for the cause of Christ (Eph. 4:7-16; Col. 2:6-7; Deut. 4:9; 6:20-25).
